    Fermwrap ability in winter

Any concern about loosing power or some other malfunction that shuts the heater off? I don’t know what freezing does to wort mid-fermentation. Dan

    Inkbird controller question

Very cool, glad you got it working. My wife is tolerant of my brewing, but that might change if there were 3AM alarms going off! Dan

    What are you drinking now?

I always wonder when I see an early (I’m on EST GMT -5:00) post on this thread if it’s from someone is in a different time zone than me or just getting an early start... Dan

    HELP!! Power outage

I’m probably too late to the party to be of much help, but Don Osborn goes through how he splits up brew day on his YouTube channel and he’s not had any issues. I’ve read of many people here doing it as well. Dan

What I did for beer today

Kegged my first beer! A Mosaic dry hopped saison. Carbonating and chilling now, wow kegging is fun!!! Also pulled a sample of a raspberry sour that has been on the fruit and some oak for 2 weeks. Awesome clarity and the color is neon in person. And it’s going to be tasty in a month or...

Brew Bucket FTSs System questions: overkill bling?

I like that. How loud is that thing? I always think of the loud fan noise with a window a/c unit but perhaps having limited venting on the side of that box would help. Dan

    I see bubbles!

I’ve only been brewing a year, but I take a peek and sniff the air lock once a day at least.

    Things I've said

I like where this thread has gone. This is good. I think this is where the OP envisioned his thread going 12 years later. 😆

What came in the mail for you today?

Nice haul. My recent used kegs came with Pepsi still in them and pressurized with CO2. So basically right from KFC to my front porch, lots of cleaning needed! Dan

    Bottling and Spreading COVID-19

I would agree with the above comment on it being airborne and thus, I would guess, low risk. Same goes for eating takeout food; the pickup/delivery seems to be the biggest risk for transmission. I’m no immunologist, however... I brewed a sour and started showing covid symptoms the next day...

    What are you drinking now?

Classic. And yes, wrong type of glass...

What came in the mail for you today?

There comes a time in a man’s life where he can’t get everything he needs from bottles anymore and he needs kegs... Sorry, that was a creepy way to phrase that. And yes, the puppy was afraid of the kegs. Dan

    Things I've said

Thanks for that, Mark. My 20 year relationship / 14yr marriage also doesn’t fit with the SWMBO thing, but I do get that folks are probably exaggerating for fun. Dan
