    The Price of Craft Beer

That's impressive you can still type after being canned almost 6 months ago!

    The Price of Craft Beer

I just paid almost 18 dollars for a 6 pack with 15% off. It was a mixed pack from my LHBS, all 12 or 16 ounce cans of fresh IPAs from the Pacific NW.

Using a spunding to naturally carb

If you're priming the keg why do you need a spunding valve? Just add the appropriate amount of sugar to achieve your desired CO2 volume.

What's the most cost effective way to move my brewing inside?

If you limited yourself to a 3500W element you could use this PID https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WD6X17V/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 Actually that's only rated for 12 amps at 240v. I think all the other Inkbirds are rated at 10 amps at 240v.

What's the most cost effective way to move my brewing inside?

This is the cheapest 240v controller I've seen: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K5KB3DS/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

What's the most cost effective way to move my brewing inside?

If you have the option to go 240V I would do it. Even brewing 3 gallon batches a 110V 1500W element feels underwhelming.

What's the most cost effective way to move my brewing inside?

If you have any wooden beams in the ceiling you should be able to hook an eyehole in there to put a pulley up on brew days. I let my grain bag hang over the pot for ~25 minutes while letting the wort come to a boil. By the time I pull my bag it's pretty dry. I'll throw the bag into a 5 gallon...

What's the most cost effective way to move my brewing inside?

eBIAB would be the cheapest. You can use a pulley to help pull the bag and gravity to move your liquid into the fermentation vessel. Controllers can be found for under $300, when it comes down to it a PID isn't needed if you do everything manually. If you already have a kettle seek out local...

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

The IPA I made using A30 got kegged last night and burst carbonated at 30psi @ 34°F (the same temperature I crashed this at so it was already around this.) The hydrometer sample showed this yeast fermented to 84% AA. Even after a 24 hour cold crash and a day in the keg there's a good deal of...

    Designing Great Beers

Hop forward American styles are changing so rapidly any published book is going to have a shelf life of a few years. It wasn't that long ago that 1-2 ounces of dryhops were considered to be appropriate for American IPAs. Since then Pliney-like West Coast IPAs, New England IPAs, and now Brut...

    Fermentation Time

With the proper amount of healthy yeast pitched into well made, oxygenated wort most ales shouldn't take any longer than 7 days to finish as long as it isn't a bigger style (DIPA, RIS, etc.). Some Belgian yeasts also require longer fermentation times. You may also need additional time for...
