Get a 15cf chest freezer a Johnson controller 2 kegs 10lb c02 and picnic taps + beer line + Quick disconnects. I got all of mine for about 500$. I just served a pint and for some reason my PSI gauge started jumping back and forth from 10 to 60 PSI. It wouldn't stop until I shut of the main valve and disconnected my hoses from the kegs. I have a 2 hose splitter on it. Turned it back on it seems fine now. Any idea what caused this?

It might have some off flavors.. You might like them... I would give it a few weeks after bottling. Ferm temp is important. I was never really impressed with my beer until i could ferment at the right temps. Still even the ones that i made in the 75 range with SA 05 were drinkable....

To me the goal is brewing the best beer I can with what I have. I started off with hopped extract and water. It wasn't great by any means but I loved it. Then when I could afford new equipment I went to steeping grains and hops. Loved it more. Now I'm all grain temp control kegging brew software...

Had a pic nip tap get wedged in the cornie handle one night. I guess the lid of my chest freezer pushed down on the hose wedging it in the handle. I awakened to 5 gal on the kitchen floor and a happy German Shepard..:drunk: $h!t happens!

I live in Houston now. My advice is pre chiller. Fermentation Chamber. Move back to PA its effn hot here! Oh never use or drink tx city water! Its worse than Mexico. The city of Houston had to admit radiation levels in the water were present.....just saying....

I have my B.S in BS. Working on my PHD in BS.....lol... Thinking about going back for graphics design of some kind. Enjoy art and want to do somthing i find enjoyable. Wish i could be a brew-master! Anybody hiring?

i bought a pure earth triple filter helped my flavor considerably. went from brewing Houston/ Dallas city water (filtered sewage) to crystal clear tasty h20. It was around 200$ worth it. Dont give up!
