    Hollywood, FL bars & bottleshops

I am about 40 minutes north. I don't know anything down that way. If you don't mind a little drive Funky Buddha in Boca is great. I know in Boynton there is Due South (best in my opinion), Copper Point, Salt Water and Devour. The 4 in Boynton are small places that make everything on location...

    Chocolate milk stout

I can't answer about the lactose. I have never used it. I did use 4oz coaco nibs in a coffee stout that I made. It was perfect!

Interview for a job at a brewery

I have a question about #4. What if o do not have idiot tendencies? I have pictures of me playing with my kids on Facebook and jobs that I am proud of. I never get political and I don't let people take pictures of me with a drink in my hand. I am genuinely curious, not trying to be snarky. Thanks

    Priming, gushers, and bottle bombs.

Also, make sure that you are not leaving too much empty space when filling the bottles. I used the last 5 oz in a 12 oz bottle 1 time. That bottle exploded when I opened it. The rest of the batch had no issues.

    Chocolate question

I just did stout with 4 oz of raw nibs. I put them in with about 10 minutes of boil left. The chocolate flavor is perfect! I have read several threads about soaking the nibs in vodka with a vanilla bean for a week or two. I will try that next.

Checking in from Sunny South Florida

I am in Boynton too. I am a total rookie but will help any way I can. I have been to BX. They are great and very helpful. You should go to one of their competitions. You can meet tons of brewers and taste lots of great home brew. Matt

Since when did people become so stupid?

The problem is that the total global IQ seems to remain the same but the population keeps growing.

Brewing last night and almost lost everything due to some punks!

I know the feeling of brewing late at night. I started a smoked pork but and a stout on monday at 10:00 and finished at 3:00. I am glad that it was just a mess for you clean up. As you said it could have been much worse. Maybe it is time for some cameras.

    First Cider nothing happening....

Be patient. I just made a cider a couple of weeks ago. It was a long and slow ferment. The primary was just over 2 weeks. Good luck.
