    Hacking a GFIC

    It won't work with the GFCI but you can buy a regular 15amp or 20 amp plug for cheap and break the tab between the screws on the hot side (gold screws),and put them on different switches. Don't hesitate to ask any more ?s :mug:

    Not unless you put each GFCI on its own switch would woudnt be that hard depending on your set up. I'm an electrician so let me know if I can help at all:mug:

    Hydrometers are a must have tool, they help to take a lot of the worry away. Let us know how it turns out!!

    It takes a long time of being at the wrong mash temp for something bad to happen. So your probably fine! Did you take a hydrometer reading?

    If you willing to wait till next Saturday I would rack it over to your secondary for secondary clearing and aging. But I definitely can be in a carboy without any problems for a few weeks!:mug:

    Adding Chocolate to a Porter

    I've read that any where from 8-12oz. of unsweetend cocoa powder or chocolate nibs is just about right. Or chocolate malt^^^

    I've never done it but it looks like you add it with about 5-10 minutes left in the boil, and you have to secondary awhile longer depending on what kind you use.
