    The Police? Really???

The detectives job is to get a warrant. As a citizen your job is to protect your 4th and 5th amendment rights.

    Carbonation issue

well it's only the second one I've bottled, but I've brewed 7 batches :) They're still hanging out with the yeast.

    Carbonation issue

I kinda just hold them up to the light and look for yeast. This is my second brew, my first went a lot faster but temperatures were higher before the AC was on (68* in basement) and for this batch my friend talked me into gelatin finings which I think may have taken a great amount of yeast out...

this is exactly what i've done. put one in, tested it, waited a few days, done another into the fridge and waited 24hrs.

    Carbonation issue

ok, that is about what I expected and thanks for your thoughts. My upstairs is 76*, my basement is 63* and it's 100 outside, so I'm having a hard time getting the desired temps. Not sure how my darling bride is going to feel about 2 cases of beer laying about upstairs either :) But I may try...

Building a Mash Tun. SS Braid or Manifold?

I have found my braid slightly stretched and distressed on my last brew. It's only about the 5th one. I will continue to monitor, but I've taken to un stretching the hose before I mash. I wouldn't mind a proper manifold. I'm also frustrated by how much fluid stays in the cooler, but dunno...

They told me they were back ordered on co2 cans after my third contact.

Don't Stick Your Head in your primary fermenter and take a deep breath!

The issue is the molecule is larger than oxygen and your body can't take it in. I don't find that straight co2 has a smell. I suspect you're finding some other byproduct. (alcohol vapor?)

keg equipment taking delivery taking forever

I finally got tracking today from keg cowboy. I think I ordered like the 20th of June. I would assume a sponsor on this forum is considered "reputable" to an earlier posters response.

My Latest Project - Walk-in Cooler

$15/month isn't too bad. good work on the insulation! Killawatt is one of my favorite toys. Refrigerators are the biggest offenders in the house... aside from hideous electric water heaters. sorry about the flood. what a pain in the ass.
