    Priming sugar for a stout

    That makes perfect sense because my 5 gallon kit came with 5 ounces of priming sugar, however... I used it all and it still exploded when I opened it. I used a 5 gallon Carboy so maybe I need to go with the 3/4 ounce per gallon? I'll try that next time!

    I'm about to bottle my second batch, and it's a pumpkin spice porter. On my first batch, I was under the impression that I was supposed to use all the priming sugar that came in my kit, which apparently wasn't the case because pretty much every one that I've opened has exploded. So my friend...
