OG was 1.064. I think you are right Phil, I have beer! But you know how that 1st batch is! My wort ended up 4.5G instaed of 5G, could that cause the OG to be lower? CB.

I moved my IIPA to 5 gal glass carboy after fermenting 2 weeks. I now have what appears to be .5" wide white bubble/foam looking thingies and small clumps of what looks like very small beige particulates. What could it be? Any reason for concern? Thanks, CB.

Extract IIPA in primary 2 weeks. OG 1.064 (SB 1.083). FG 1.018 - ABV ~ 6%. Tastes good, slightly and needs to mellow. Plan on bottling in 2 weeks and leaving another 2-3 weeks. Everything has gone pretty smoothly wight the insight garnered around here, thanks. Ready to try a wheat next.

Gobble, gobble, I have set aside four DFH 90's for "aging" to see if there is a difference. Should there be a difference with this type of beer? I am storing in fridge, should it be at room temp or other to age properly? If so, what time frame is good for aging? Thanks guys, have...

Chefy, I just brewd my 1st and it was the same BB IIPA extract kit and got the same readings as you. I didnt mix after adding water. What were your final results - FG, Beer? Thanks, CB.

I am planning my 1st brew and have a 20 quart alum & a 32 quart stainless pot. making std extract kit, boiling on turkey fryer setup. with ingredients added, is 20 qt too small?
