I like that Idea. Do you need a certain print program to do it?

    Labeling Bottles

Just curious does anyone make there own labels for their homebrews or do you just leave the bottles plain for the ease of cleaning?

    Bung fell into wort, replacement?

How about a plastic cup over the neck of the carboy with a small hole made in it, then the seran wrap and airlock? Just an idea........

Such Decisions..............................Still unsure, after reading Dontmans post I think he is right, if it tastes like crap I am going to be worried I did something wrong. Maybe I should just hold out.

    Should I do it?????

Well....... after 4 weeks in the primary I finally got to bottle my first brew on Monday the first of December. It is a True Brew Porter kit. I was thinking about putting a bottle in the fridge tonight to chill down for Monday night. What I am wondering is if this is not a good idea? Should I...

    LD Carlson co. no rinse-cleaner

See, now I was under the impression that Ld Carlson was NOT a chlorine based product, which is why it is a no rinse.....maybe I am mistaken????

    LD Carlson co. no rinse-cleaner

Just read that thread on sanitizing Revvy. There sure was some excellent info there. I think I may just order the iodophor or the star-san from Northern Brewer.

    LD Carlson co. no rinse-cleaner

Thanks Revvy, you are always quick with a response and very helpful. No, I didn't see anything but the LD Carlson stuff. It is a Hardware/Homebrewshop. Next time I need something I am going to drive a little further out of my way, there is a better place about 25-30 mins. away. Should I not...

    LD Carlson co. no rinse-cleaner

I just got back from the LHBS. I went there to purchase a no rinse sanitizer in prep for bottling in a few days. All I saw was a 5 lb. bag of No-Rinse cleaner from LD Carlson co... I asked the store owner if this was a cleaner or sanitizer and he did say it was a "sanitizer".. Now after reading...

    4 weeks in primary

Today my porter will be in primary for 3 weeks. I had planned on Bottling today but I caught a bad cold. If I don't bottle today it will have to sit another full week. From what I have read here this doesn't seem like it should really be an issue. I am just looking to double check with you guys...

A lot of bubbling right off the bat?

Would that be more activity at a higher teperature pitch?

    Airlock Activity

The trapped Co2 scenario makes sense, as the temperature in my house has been a steady 65 degrees since the weather got chilly. Thanks for the replies guys, I can't wait to get this batch into bottles so I can move onto my Nut Brown Ale kit.....I think this is going to be addicting:mug:

    Airlock Activity

I wonder why it would start bubbling like that again after all these days? So I guess it is still fermenting. I did not take a starting gravity when I began, but I do have the instructions from the kit which have the final gravity reading. I will take a reading on Monday to see where I am at...
