Absolutely the case. Well built aluminum pots will hold up every bit as well as stainless steel. As far as off flavors, no one who brews with aluminum on a regular basis has ever had issues with off flavors.

I started tonight with a Kona Firerock Pale Ale. Then I decided to tackle a whole 22oz bottle of Port Brewing Old Viscosity myself. On glass number two right now. I forsee passing out shortly after. This beer is strong.

I rarely use a recipe when I cook food. Turns out great and just about everyone except my picky 7yr old likes it. I've tried the same thing with beer, but have not had the same success. Sure I could probably pull off a simple recipe from my head, but try getting crazy with hops, tea bags...

I buy some Sierra Nevada Bigfoot every year. Still have some 2008 bottles, you'd be amazed at how well it holds up.

Three years in a row I've had plans to do something with blackberries and beer and I haven't. I think a blackberry stout or porter would be the way to go.

I picked up some Boston Lager yesterday and realized I don't buy it enough. I know everyone has their tastes, but I think SABL is a damn good beer. I don't know if I could call it best of a style, because I don't know of anything that compares. It is, IMO a decent, tasty, well balanced beer.
