    Hops in Juneau

I don't know how well it would work honestly, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try. I know people up by Anchorage have had some success. I recommend cascade as it seems to be on of the hardiest hops out there.

    The Doors

Pink Floyd. Apparently one of the greatest classic rock bands out there. For some reason I can't stand them. Doors I can listen to, especially when you start paying attention to the lyrics.

    Over 100 IBU's?

IBU's are also dependent on the hops used. Give me a 100 IBU beer made with all Chinook, and it'd be a bit over the top. Blend with other hops and it's a totally different experience.

This ever happen to you and does it have a name?

Funny, I was just thinking about ass a little bit ago, and here it is in a totally different place. I told you there was something to this. :D

This is a bacon wrapped one.

    Official HBT Meatloaf Thread.

Stuffing works surprisingly well, especially when you use some egg. I've used nuts before, don't remember which ones for sure, but I think I've done pecans. I did put cumin in a meatloaf once, but overdid it. Could hardly eat it. You'd be surprised what you can dump in meatloaf and...

    Official HBT Meatloaf Thread.

Why not. I like making meatloaf. I never make it exactly the same way twice and don't use a recipe. Some common things I do are use stuffing mix and veggies. I've wrapped it in bacon before. Sometimes I do a ground turkey/beef blend This one, which is dinner tonight has bell...

    Over 100 IBU's?

That's another good one too. Hop Stoopid, Ruination, and Hop 15. Three of my favorites.

    Arctic Alchemy..

I think you are one of the coolest people I "know". Good luck. Look forward to following this more and eventually trying the beer (most likely as a clone).

This ever happen to you and does it have a name?

This seems to happen to me often. I'll hear or read some obscure bit of information somewhere in the news, a forum, etc... Within the next day or so I hear about it again, and then sometimes a third or fourth time. Example: A few days ago I was watching Modern Marvels and the...

    Over 100 IBU's?

Really? To each their own. That is one of my favorite IIPA's.

    More Items Local Pick-up preferred.

I have got back to the people who responded to me via PM or in this thread. If you didn't hear back, someone beat you with a PM. The magazines are gone. The Ranco Controller is pending. The rest of the items (Better bottles) I am not willing to pack up and ship.

    More Items Local Pick-up preferred.

Alright. Doesn't seems like much local interest. I'm giving it another day or so, then I'll look into shipping. First person to ask via this thread or PM will get first dibs on the stuff. Still waiting to hear back from BYO on the subscription transfer. Things that I will consider...

    New Jeep!

This is how mine looks now. The new tires do a great job of painting the sides with mud. :rockin:

Grain first, or strike water first?

So to make it easy for the OP. Either way works, it's all a matter of preference.

Grain first, or strike water first?

Everyone has their way. As long as you stir occasionally while adding you'll be fine. Personally I find it easier to start with the water first, then stir in the grain. This mixes it up well, minimizes dougballs and helps to get a uniform temperature through out.

    List of Outrages

    51. People who claim that their specific location has the worst/dumbest drivers. I've lived in a few of these areas and can tell you that there are idiot drivers everywhere. I live in WA, and the traffic around Seattle sucks. People on the Kitsap Peninsula routinely drive 5-10mph under...

What are YOU doing for St.Patrick's Day?

Corned beef, potatoes and cabbage for dinner at home. Don't care for Guiness, but do have some Descheutes Stout. Would have liked to stay home today and cooked the corned beef in my smoker, but taking the day off for meat wasn't going to fly. So it's in the crock pot and I'll finish...
