    Intertap beer faucets

Interesting idea... but I think i'd just put some inline valves on the beer lines and lock the fridge door.

    Intertap beer faucets

This is the box from the one I bought at William's Brewing before they stopped selling them. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering two. Like you said, the box is likely the easiest part of a cloned version.

    Intertap beer faucets

Has anyone compared the Intertap products from aliexpress to ones ordered from US/AU/CA suppliers? I've purchased some things direct from Asia that have been legit and other things that are clearly inferior copies. Since the tap itself is actually made there, I'd imagine the ones on aliexpress...

    Intertap beer faucets

I've swapped them by hand. Just make sure the o-ring stays put or you put it back in (it tends to fall out when changing the nozzles.)

    Intertap beer faucets

I can't say how they work compared to the Perlicks as I've never used those... I really like the Intertap I got, MUCH nicer than the junky generic taps I had before. Now I wish I would have ordered all 3 I needed from Williams instead of 1 "just to try it first." It's a nice product; I hope...

    Intertap beer faucets

My thought too... in fact, I ordered a stainless one and the stout adapter. Hopefully it'll prove to be a good design; the shuttle they show looks intriguing. They also mention bringing out other nozzles/adapters like a sparkler adapter and a counter pressure bottle filling adapter (although the...

    Intertap beer faucets

I just happened across these as well and thought "why have I never heard of these?" but I guess they just came out? I was looking for a stainless stout faucet and most are over $100. You can buy an Intertap stainless faucet for $30 and a stout adapter for $13... so it seems like you can get a...

    "fixing" a keg lid opening

I suppose I could cut the whole thing open if everything goes wrong, but I'd like to keep it to size to fit my 12" lid.

    "fixing" a keg lid opening

It's a bit late to build a jig that works off the center opening, it's already cut off. You can see the hole isn't exactly "round" although it's not terrible. From what they said, it was cutting relatively correct until the end. They drilled 2 holes in the top and used some sort of mechanical...

    "fixing" a keg lid opening

I've been rather busy with some other projects and don't have an angle grinder, so I had someone else cut an opening in my keg for a lid for me. The opening is a bit "out of round" so it looks a bit odd. They also cut the opening undersized (maybe 1/4" - 1/2" or so), so I have some wiggle...

Sanke keg fermenters back from powder coating

They look really nice. Do you know any of the details on powder(s) they used? That looks rather similar to the "chrome" I used on some motorcycle parts. I quickly realized that it scratches fairly easy without a more durable clear powder layer on top.

"Accidental" hard apple cider (fermenting at cold temps)

There are yeast calculators out there. You should be fine on yeast quantity. You really can't put too much (within reason) in, and if you put too little in, it will just take longer to start fermenting (and possibly allow other yeasts to ferment as well depending on your balloon "airlock") It...

"Accidental" hard apple cider (fermenting at cold temps)

Well, if you want them carbonated, I suppose the simple way would just be to let them go until they stop bubbling, add some extra sugar and cap the bottles. You don't want to add too much as it can overpressurize and worst case, crack the bottles. There are priming sugar calculators where you...

Sanke "half barrel" keg (technically 50L Euro) stainless steel

Sold. Ended up selling it back to the person I got it from.

    Confused about Receptacles, Plugs, etc.

Haha... cattle prod is a rather apt description. People occasionally make these to back feed power into their house from a genny during power outages. They are usually referred to as a "suicide cord"

    SS 304 1/2" NPT Motorized Ball Valves 9-24vdc $40

Are these full open/close only or does the amount of voltage allow you to partially open the valve?

    copper pipe serving?

Pretty sure you wouldn't want to do this... in addition to taste concerns, I believe it can leach into the beer and you could end up with copper poisoning. You could probably sell it on here or make something else with it. I'm going to be picking some up before too long to make a CFC.

any one use this to filter beer??

Would purging the second carboy (or keg, etc) with CO2 help alleviate or even eliminate oxidation? Is the filter cleanable and reusable or do you need to buy new elements? If the latter, I'd probably go with something like this instead...

    Bottle grabber ((easiest DIY ever)

Nice project. I play hockey but haven't used a wooden stick in ages. You sometimes see them in locker room garbage cans when people break them though. Can't say I've thought about dumpster diving for bottles. The one distributor nearby had a sampling day once and had tons of empty cases of...

Galvanized Steel on water side of plate chiller?

In addition to the nylon fittings, something like Watts 3/4" x 3/4" Male Garden Hose to FIP Adapter ($3.53 at my lowes) would give you your garden hose thread. They make them with a female garden hose hookup as well. You could probably even get a 3/4" FIP to barb brass fitting for not much more...
