From what i have read, it seems to get better pours from the tower you want to try and cool it. As far as how to route it you can do whatever you can imagine in keeping with trying to cool the lines to the tap/s. I would be careful going out the side as some refrigerator run the cooling lines...
I'm still on the fence whether to build the collar or just try and use the space inside for everything. On one hand I like the idea of a 20# tank on the outside and the ease of going through the collar to plum it. Then I think maybe just keep it simple and use a 5# tank on the inside. The keezer...

Just my 2 cents. A standard bar height is 42 inches to about 46 inches. Just something to think about when building. Bar stool are made standard for those heights.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what kind of time frame I had and it sounds like I should be able to brew on vacation. Go to work and everything is ready when I get back. Wel,l the short way of putting it.
