Anyone opened up there Brau EZ boil 240V? Following the thread with hopes of building one when I get back to the states. I think a lot of the parts I'm going to need to source direct from China so trying to order now to have in Nov. when I'm back.

Let me get this strait..When making the caramel you don't bring it up to hard crack temp. In doing this it stays in a liquid form util time to be used? I think hard crack temp is above the 300 deg mark for a few min or something.

It's under mash method. 10 gal is $134 then 15 gal is $414. Then from 15 to the 20 gal it's only $10 difference. There must be other things included, like a pump ect.

After your're done with the mash I don't see why you would need a temp monitor. Or at least one that is needed for anything really. You can see the boil.

I understand it doesn't have that functionality. But then again BrewPI doesn't have a tap list. So are you saying stay out of my yard and I'll stay out of yours with that kind of incorporation. Even a simple temp prob with a readout would be a nice feature to have on the tap list.
