BrunDog 50A eRig - no HLT for me!

That looks like the o2 tanks sold at home depot. What o2 meter will fit them?

20 gallon SS Brewtech Infussion mash tun

I was able to fit an auto sparge with 9" rod by attaching it to the recirculation port with a coupler and thick washer. *sigh* now I can just sit and look at it because it's going back.

Blichmann Beer Gun or is it?

At least part of the beer gun is patented by Blichmann so to those claiming he just buys someone else's stuff I think you're wrong. It's more likely that the product was copied. Aliexpress has all sorts of bootleg items.

It's a manometer. From their docs:

What material is used for mounting devices in the control panels

    Ah, I didn't see that. Another $20...ugh!

What material is used for mounting devices in the control panels

Hey all, The box I have: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T94MQU/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 didn't come with a panel inside to mount stuff on. It has raised posts for one though. What's a proper material to use for this? Plexiglass, wood?

20 gallon SS Brewtech Infussion mash tun

Here's a diagram showing how it's put together. The drain port is actually below the bottom and it uses a center bottom drain under the false bottom. It looks like in my case the tube welded to the bottom was too short, causing an angle down.

20 gallon SS Brewtech Infussion mash tun

It's welded that way. I'm going to exchange it for a new one. I sent them a couple more pics and they agreed it shouldn't be angled like that. My false bottom wasn't warped. It's a nice mash tun, and it sucks that this wasn't caught before shipping it out.

    Budget Basement Brewery Build

When building the control panel I suggest using a box that will give you room to expand later. It won't cost much more and will save you the hassle later.

    Show us your panel

You should post that to the cableporn subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/cableporn

Anyone else here have one? If so can you confirm that the drain valve is supposed to angle down? None of the photos I find online have a good picture of it from the side. Their support staff says this is correct.

    Brew Boss Systems

That sounds completely whacked. The only thing the other apps could do is use cpu and storage. Assuming you weren't playing angry birds the cpu would be fine and the app should give an error if storage is used up. How did the developer rationalize uninstalling the other apps?

    RIMS the concept?

So what isn't overkill then? Maintaining the temperature of a system that's a mix of fluids and solid mass doesn't seem like a simple problem to solve. Does BCS use a different algorithm that's better suited to the task?

    Grainfather!!

Pretty sure John Palmer said SS passivates when exposed to air. So clean with barkeepers friend, rinse and dry and you're good.

I like this better than the blichmann because the notches are visible from the front. I have to look at my G2 from the side to see the level.

    RIMS the concept?

Are there any PIDs that take the temp from two locations (heat location and mass location) and use both to heat the mass without this fudge factor to worry about? Seems like the PID algorithm was designed for a small closed system like a sous vide rather than a large, spread out system like we use.

No umbrellas needed. I see your points. :mug:
