    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Sams typically sells those flats as choice grade and you have to be really picky with them, the whole packers they sell are usually prime (by me anyway) so I always grab the packers especially considering they are significantly less money and it's prime it seems crazy to me they even sell those...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I understand, I got my Pit Boss for $175 (Walmart can be awesome) and it has a 5 year warranty so I just dont think much if she breaks I have several other options luckily and can wait for the parts. How do you like the blanket? Did you notice any differences? Gimmick? Does it get messy?

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Pit Boss sells a blanket for my pellet pooper so I'd bet Traeger makes one for yours. Snow is coming and I am seriously considering grabbing one from Walmart for me its a $100 purchase and probably would pay for itself in fuel consumption savings alone. Unless your not into cooking outside in...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I use a light coat of pit boss hickory bacon on both sides, black pepper on the meat side and Rib Rack BBQ seasoning on both sides generously this time I added a little Chinese 5 spice to the meat side and for my personal taste it came through really nice adding some complexity (stole the idea...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Smoked some ribs on the pellet grill and honestly they were the best ribs I ever had, a little Chinese 5 spice really worked out and will be a permanent addition to my rib recipe

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

The no wrap is just not as juicy however the bark was better no question about it, I know a lot of people like the bark but I prefer the moister meat I get with the wrap but I would not say there was anything wrong with this butt just different. I was super impressed with the Kamado...

Who is brewing on Long Island?

I have the all grain version of this on tap now and it's a great beer honestly. I dont buy a lot of kits but I am glad I stumbled across that one, I only got it because it qualified me for free shipping. Going all grain was the biggest improvement I ever made to my beer you wont regret it

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I hear that man we do half chickens every week in the kamado with 50/50 apple and cherry wood and I do an injection with 50/50 apple juice and ginger ale add a little of my rub to it and use Oakridge BBQ Game Bird and Chicken Rub to finish it off I swear it's impossible not to love it

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

In my electric smoker I fill the tray with pellets from my pellet grill then I use a torch and light them up give them a few minutes and blow the flame out and they are smoking heavily, I have found this to be by far the best way to get smoke flavor in my electric smoker. I tried the smoking...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Cant beat these for the money when Walmart blows them out that's how I ended up with mine I went in to buy some charcoal and saw the classic was $175 and figured for that price even if I only used it at times it would be worth it. FYI Lowes (by me anyway) sells 40lb bags of the pit boss...

Anyone ever call in sick just to brew?

Sick days are for the 2 or 3 days a year when I enjoy too much homebrew :bott:

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

My pit boss has the open flame sear option it's pretty nice and you get that direct flame sear from a pellet pooper
  19. OG-wan Kenobi

    Stirring instead of shaking?

Not really a great idea, your introducing 02 during your fermentation and that is something you really want to avoid. If you don't want to shake the bucket get an 02 wand it's easier and more effective but what your doing is opening to door for off flavors. Your beer may be fine but I would not...
