    So who's brewing this weekend?

Bells two hearted clone just went in the carboy. My boil off was a litter higher than normal so I had to top off. Hoping it doesn't affect the outcome too much. I had some extra helpers to get rid of the spent grain.

    Over flowing fermenter!

+1 I've been using a blow-off tube on everything because my fermenters are 5 gallon glass carboys I inherited from my dad through his dad. Eventually I will get a bigger fermenter, but these are working fine for right now as long as I use a 1" blow off tube. I just stick the other end into a...

Suggest a recipe based off my on-hand ingredients

In the past I've been on cooking or drink mixing websites that will suggest recipes based on ingredients you have on hand. Unfortunately I cannot find anything similar for brewing (hint, hint tech savvy and awesome homebrewers, there is a need here :mug:.) So I come to you for suggestions on...

Adding Blood Oranges to a blonde ale

I froze them to rupture walls. I wasn't overly paranoid about sanitizing since everything was cold storage and the acidity in the oranges is a barrier to bacteria. I didn't give it much thought other than my girlfriend likes orange in a beer so I figure try it on the large scale in the keg. It...

What happened to your old fermentation bucket?

When I just recently got back into home-brewing, I dug out my bucket to get ready to ferment and there was a six inch crack in the bottom. Not sure what happened. Now it pulls double duty as my dog poop and spent grain collection bucket in the back yard. How the mighty have fallen!

Adding Blood Oranges to a blonde ale

I just made a blood orange blonde for my girlfriend. I fermented two weeks, cold crashed and then racked to the keg where I had my dry hopper fill with 3 pounds (10 oranges) of zest and fruit. I froze the blood oranges after cutting up everything. I ended up letting the beer sit on the blood...

    Wish me luck!

How hard was it to pass on that beer? I got a job as a bouncer once based off of how I chugged a beer, but that's a different story Probably a good idea to say no. I could see that being a good test to weed out the guys that just think working at brewery entails drinking beer.
