I have a 5cu holiday freezer, I can fit 2 5 gallon cornie's on the floor, a 3Gal and 5lb CO2 w/ 3 gauges on the hump. Its a bit of a tight fit, but it works out well. Just need to add a 3rd faucet to my draft tower!

    Weekend Paint Booth

We do something similar with a plastic paint booth when we are painting/priming our cars. Great idea with the filter and fan, I'll have to try that sometime!

How did you get hooked on brewing?

I started with a Mr. Beer kit I got for cheap off woot.com. After about 10 batches of Mr Beer, I bought a kit from Northern Brewer. I made a bunch of extract batches that were pretty good, but I got sick of bottling quick. I built a keezer for New Years. At the beginning of this year, I...

I want to build a Keezer with a tap tower

I bought the parts for my keezer individually, so that I could have the exact pieces I wanted - not something similar just because it's from the same shop. I don't think there is one single place that is the very best to buy from. Do your research and buy from places you are comfortable...

questions about perlick 525SS and shank

Here's my 'brewstand' using a cart that my father built. We've put the body of his 74 Cutlass Supreme on there while we ground down the frame and suspension components and painted them.

    Harbor Freight Cut Off Saw

I've had one of those saws for a few years now. It works great, and have used it for all sorts of projects. Make sure to get a good quality wheel to go with it. There's a big difference between the cheapo harbor freight ones and a good one from a hardware store.

What are some of the mistakes you made...where your beer still turned out great!

My first attempt to use a cooler and ice to manage fermentation temps, i packed in a giant bag of ice around the better bottle. Checked the temps the next day, it was at 40*F. Removed all the ice and it warmed up to basement temps after a day or so. Took a few days to start fermenting again...

    Daytona Beach!

Taking my week vacation from work down at Daytona Beach. Enjoying the eye candy and a growler of EdWort's Pale Ale. Anyone down in this area? Any good breweries to check out? Went over to Daytona Speedway this morning and took the tour, otherwise just hanging out on the beach.
