I have actually found that it's easier to hit farther when you don't swing like you are Happy Gillmore

    Your Thoughts/Prayers/Voodoo Needed

Do you have a battery tender? It may help you stretch the life of this new battery. I find that they tend to discharge during periods of disuse. I also seem to remember that with all the accessories some of the more touring bikes have that this drain is accelerated some. Glad to hear that...

QOTD - If I am making it myself, more steak and or grilled sweet onions. Otherwise taters or some other starch to help break up the mass of meat and fat in your gullet Kale. Kale is no better for you than any other dark leafy green. It just has a better marketing department.

Well, I have yet to do the vertical, but I am pretty sure I could tell the difference between an aged one and a fresh one. The fresh ones tend to be boozier where in the older ones the alcohol hides really well and seems more complex and slightly sweet. I actually got them at the local large...

I apparently had saved a 4 pack from each year and drank one when I re-found them. Only have one 13 left. 2 14's and I don't know how many of last years. Good stuff. Not cheap though.

Rather well. See above. I have 2013, 2014, and 2015. I want to do a vertical next brew day with my buddy but fear we may get too drunk doing so.

It's good. The age does not hurt it in the least, may actually improve it some. The hotter alcohol burn is gone. It seems maltier and strangely more complex. Thanks. That box was overdue but @banesong and I owed it to him and decided that we would send it off after he forgot about it.

Upon cleaning my garage out this weekend I realized I had about two cases of various beers just hanging around. Since my work schedule sucks and I don't get home until almost midnight and sleep has been weird I decided to say f the 'cellar' and just drink it. Tonight, like last night I am having...

I like this time at night on HBT

I too am jealous. All I have is my house on 1/4 acre lot. You have room for a good sized family BBQ with a touch football field and more

Cut back first hop shoots? Or wait and cut back all but best 3?

I have heard somewhere that when you have an early crop that you can often harvest and get a second crop in the same year. At this rate you may well be able to get three. Wow. I chopped mine (second years) back and then forgot about them and fount they were a foot and a half tall this weekend. I...

I am the same way. I don't drink it often but have friends who love it. It does get better with age though so I am not worried about it.

    DIY pool maintenance

    1) I liked the liquid tester best. You can do far more with it like check free chlorine, etc. 2) The pucks are great for keeping in the skimmer basket to maintain chlorine levels. The sun breaks down the chlorine. As for combined chlorine, the way I always learned to work against that is...

    Post your infection

I did a terrible thing yesterday. I had a pumpkin ale I made 2 or 3 years ago that got an infection so I let it ride (bucket fermenter). I looked at it 6 months or more down the line and it smelled fine, but had a skin. I decided I would be lazy and relidded it, refilled the airlock and...

Wow. Two years. I think the last few pours on my keg are about there. How many batches do you have waiting in the wings? I have 15 in fermenter. Its only a couple months old currently though.

You know you're a home brewer when?

You recycle 2 trash bags of bottles while cleaning out the garage/brew area and still have a good half dozen cases of bottles. Especially when you havent bottled a batch in a while.
