English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

No kegged bitter was the reason for our bad reputation. This like Watneys Red Barrel and Double Diamond and McEwans Tartan were absolutely awful. But we drank them as we had little choice. Many pubs gave up on cask because of a short shelf life and inexperienced publicans.

    What are you drinking now?

I get it people in Glasgow have a better time than those in Edinburgh. I get it but not sure it’s true Glasgow was an industrial city with massive shipyards whilst Edinburgh was the seat of government and not really industrial.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

From my experience of 57 years drinking British beer I agree the BJCP is worthless for our beers and I’d also never heard of them before I joined a brewing forum. However I do use them for non British beers that I’ve no real experience of, but after a few iterations I have learned what I like...

I belong to a Malt Buying Cooperative who by direct from Crisp. We only buy crushed malt in full pallets of 40 x 25kg sacks. I then buy in either 3kg or 25kg from the coop. So are Crisp unable to properly crush malt I doubt it. Yet my efficiency when using a high % of wheat malt is lower than...
