Used keggle pictures - Should I buy it or not ?

Hehehe... I can hook you up with the moonshiner in question if you want to have a crack at it... 'Mr. About to go blind from methyl alcohol poisoning' :cross:

Used keggle pictures - Should I buy it or not ?

Yeah... I haven't had the chance to ask him too much questions about the keg, but I will. The rust on the fitting and on the welded (?) top look kind of fishy. To clean it up though, I know someone who could sandblast it for me. I agree that it looks pretty beat up and that the top...

Used keggle pictures - Should I buy it or not ?

Hi, I want to change my brewing setup from a stove-top to an outodoor propane gaz burner with keggle. I've been on the lookout for used kegs for a while, and I just got the opportunity to buy this used keggle. The keggle has two drilled ports for electrical elements as well as a...

    Imperial Stout Double-W Imperial Stout

Fermentation is going... smoothly ?... well smoothly wouldn't be the right term to describe the activity that's going on... it's been bubbling like crazy since monday night with no signs of slowing down. No mess... yet ! :ban: This might be a question for another thread, but how the hell did...

    Imperial Stout Double-W Imperial Stout

phew. That's a lot of work brewing a beer this big. Got 11 gallons splitted amongst three 5-gallons SS brew pots. 4 hour boil later I got 5.5 gallons of 1.117 gravity wort in my bucket :rockin: I don't have any blowoff tube, so I tried sitting my bucket in a double garbage bag, with...

    Imperial Stout Double-W Imperial Stout

Question for anyone who brewed this. I'm fermenting in one of those 7.9 gallons bucket. Will I need a blow-off tube if I'll be fermenting between 5.5 and 6 gallons of this, or should I be fine with my airlocked-lid ? Thanks.

    Kegerator too cold

I have the exact same problem with an old Danby mini-bar fridge. It has a top section that acts as a freezer. In order to fit the keg, I had to remove the plastic compartment that delimits the freezer section and the fridge section. No matter what temp setting I choose on the knob, it...

    Refining the Belgian Wit

I only brewed one witbeir and it turned out too harsh as I was aiming for a hoeggarden or blanche de Chambly. I don't have much experience brewing, however I found the Brewing Network's Jamil Show on the Witbeir style to be very informative. The show pointed out a lot of thing that I could...

    Newbie question about carbonation.

You need two regulators on your output. Only splitting the gaz will result in 10 PSI in both of your kegs.

    partial or full boil

Or you could do what I do.... collect 7.5/8 gallons of runnings split evenly and in same concentration between TWO 5 gallons brew pots. This way, you are doing 2 small batches side-by-side but it will still be a full-boil. Plus, you will be able to chill 2 pots fast enough in your bathtub...

    Newbie question about carbonation.

Thanks A LOT. That clears it up. I've read about calibrating the system, line lenght etc. so I should be good with that part. Thanks a lot again ! Cheers !

    Newbie question about carbonation.

Hi, I'm kegging for the first time (and brewing for the first time as a matter of fact) and couldn't find a clear answer to my newbie question. My witbeir is currently sitting in my keg. I ran 20 PSI into it and purged a couple of times to remove the most o2 I could. Now I set the keg...
