    Bar build - Thanks All

Yeah, realized last night that I am going to have to add a vent for it. I like the dynamat idea, but I don't know if I can hear it running when my beer cooler is installed. I have a commercial, 50" wide, slide top cooler, and it is loud. It does not disrupt movies, or discussion, though. I...

    My ongoing basement bar build

Love the look of this bar. Where did you get those corbels?

    Bar build - Thanks All

I took the day off work today and we finished laying all of the copper on the bar and the counters. TV got mounted and the shelf for the cable box and Roku was installed. I got most of the soda machine working but need to have the guys hook up the drains tomorrow. Then, I got the tower and taps...

    Basement Brew Pub

I had a quick question about the glycol setup you have. What is the set point, temp, you used? Default is 20 on my pump but I thought is saw 7 as a good set point. Any help would be appreciated.

Today is a long one, but I wanted to post some, in progress pics of the copper going down on the bar and counters.

Lol. I know what you mean. I thought I had done enough research before I started, but all you people keep coming up with great new ideas and then I wish I had thought of it before I started my build. I absolutely love the rustic look you have gone with. Now just cover that darn fridge. ;)

    Our Home Pub Project

This has really turned out nicely. I especially love what you did with the drum kit.

Not much done today, visually. They finished the electrical, hung the pendant lights, installed the wine fridge and then we started working on the bag in box soda gun. I am seriously hoping that the copper comes tomorrow or there is no way we will get done this week. Done, as in, usable this...

I hear you about the single malts. Have you tried Connemara? It is a peated single malt from Ireland. If you like single pot still, try Green or Yellow Spot. I haven't found anyone who didn't like them. :)

Yeah, I found that to be the case for a lot of the more readily available bottles. One thing that helps though is to tell them not to charge VAT. If you are a tourist, you don't have to pay it. Getting VAT refund is a pain in the butt. There are some really good, not too expensive, whiskies...

Thanks, I am jealous of your brew room! Wish I had room to do that. I put in the theater when I first moved in and if I had sized it differently I could have done a brew room. I could take some space away from the storage room but we have way too much crap in there. Already lost room by putting...

    Bar build - Thanks All

Yesterday they added two more coats of poly to everything. Thank goodness the weather is nice so we could keep all the windows open. You. Really can't tell the difference, in a picture, so no photos today. They said they maybe back today, to put it all back together. If so, I will update the...

Location, close to Lures, is the best part. :)

Yeah, I love Irish Whiskey. Still learning to enjoy Scottish. Some of my new Irish whiskies. Shipment just came in from Ireland. CelticWhiskeyShop.com, if anyone wants to order, they ship direct. They are located on Dawson St, just around the corner from Grafton St., in Dublin.

    Basement Brew Pub

I wish I had seen this thread before I started my build. The information on the glycol setup would have saved me a ton of research time! I ended up calling kegworks and working with one of their corporate sales guys. He was a lot of help, but had I seen this, I would have used the company in...

Yesterday they finished the first coat of poly on the bar. 2 more coats today. I can't wait for this part to be done because the fumes are awful.

Wow. Love your bar and the floors are very similar. That pub is Grafton St. I was just there, again, yesterday. Probably spent too long there. :)

That is a pendant light. There will be 6 of them hanging from the soffit, above the bar.

I was in MD when I started on forums and I chose my screen name. Too old to remember 100 different names so I stuck with it. I moved to VA last summer though. I'm now in Gainesville, so iris not too far from MD. :)
