Rusting is a serious concern. Hopefully someone with long term use of these can chime in on that. I'd rather adjust beer line length than worry about having that issue.

Now that's alcohol abuse lol. Have you considered moving to flow control ball lock disconnects like the posts above suggested? Williams Brewing has them for 29.99 each. Not sure where others are buying them.

To answer one of your first questions the boilcoil uses either a round L5-20p for the 120v and L6-30p for the 240v. You can find short adapter cables for standard household 20a 120v outlets online for around $16.

You can also check out Brian at Short Circuited Brewers YouTube video of this in practice. I believe the one he has in the video was an Avalon Bay and Inkbird also has a 1000w model out I came across on Amazon.

My understanding based on the reading I've done is that the 80% load is based on continuous operation, which in brewing application doesn't apply. I'm definitely not an expert or authority on this so take that with a grain of salt. Just sharing what I've seen to be a consensus.

Not sure why I didn't realize they were paired vertically like that. I was originally thinking joining any of the screw terminals required jumper wires.

My personal preference, without having used one of these systems, would be to allow the DSPR to receive power when the controller is plugged in and manually control power to the element. My logic is that the DSPR itself already has an on/off capability built in.
