    The lager was a diacetyl bonanza. I tried to brew a dark ***** Modelo-ish lager and had no idea what I was doing. It fermented WAY too hot. I knew it was going to be crappy but I still went through the whole lagering process with it just for the practice. Live and Learn....

    REDEMPTION with the barkeepers friend!!! It came off- just changed the brushed pattern a little. But I'm still banned from the kitchen- oh well I wanted to move to the garage anyway!

    I thought it was a good beer. Worth trying at least- they're selling them for $18 at my local pub and I split a couple bottles with friends at their Xmas party. I think the bling-ish looking bottle helped me meet a couple cuties who were sitting near me.

    Well my brewdays are now going to be outdoors or in the garage after ruining a Stainless Steel Stovetop with my 2009 IPA last night. The pot must have gotten too hot and now there is brown/black discoloration on the stove. Doesn't the name Stainless Steel imply that it's STAINLESS?? :(

    So I racked this abomination of a lager last night after 3 weeks @ 45deg. I tasted it and to my surprise was not too bad. LOTS of butterscotch which obviously shouldn't be there but makes the brew very interesting and sweet. I'm going to crash it @ >40 for a little and try to clear it up.

    Someone asked me this yesterday and I thought it was an interesting question. Nearly everything you buy has nutritional info on the packaging. But not beer or other alcoholic drinks. Anyone know why this is? My guess was that beer and wine are biologically alive and constantly changing...
