    Winter Brewing - Heat Source

If you use a heater, I would suggest an electric radiant heater. It warms you, and doesn't waste energy heating a bunch of air that goes away. And no blower to cause issues with the brew. Any local store ought to have something like this...

    Northern brewer Irish stout

Agree, just follow the recipe. I've made that same kit every year in time for St. Pat's (also their Irish Red) for the last four years, and love it.

Recommend a pumpkin beer extract recipe?

Yep. Pumpkin doesn't have much of a flavor at all. It's the spices that makes a pumpkin pie into the holiday-time awesomeness that it is.

NB Bourbon Barrel Porter - Awesome from the start

Their Bourbon Barrel Porter has turned out to be my favorite kit. I plan on making it again in the late Fall (right after a batch of Smashing Pumpkin...). :D

    Bad Kitty Vanilla Porter

Pretty interesting, looks like something worth trying out. A couple of questions: - Why 90 minute boil? - How late did you add the LME? - So was the total 2oz of VE at the end of the boil, and another 3oz at bottling? Thanks!

    Nbrewer Smashing Pumpkin Kit Tips

I've made that one a couple of times, with good results. I followed the recipe, only adding a little more pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon at bottling time. Using actual pumpkin, in my opinion, is a waste of time, since it adds almost nothing to the taste or anything else. The flavors come from...

Peaches and Cream Stout, will it work?

OK, you've got to let us know how this turns out. I love stout, and I love peaches, but can't see the combination. That's some creativity there and I would love to hear how it tastes.

St. Patrick is upon us! What's on the menu?

Same here. I've made that one a couple of times, and always liked it. Just got it started for this year.

    Dry Irish Stout-carbombs?

I've made the NB Dry Irish Stout kit a couple of times, also to serve around St. Pat's Day. It is a pretty easy brew, and has turned out pretty well both times.

    Bottlemark

I don't care for Google Wallet, but BottleMark is a first-rate outfit. They ship quickly, and the quality is always spot on.

    Killians Red Clone Kit

The Northern Brewer Irish Red is excellent, it's what I have on tap at home right now.

    Successful Peanut Butter Stout

OK, so I finally tried this recipe from the OP on the first page. I gave it a taste on bottling day, and was a little worried about how weird it tasted, and hoped that it would improve with carbonation and some time. Today was two weeks later, and it needs a little more time to bottle carb...
