    Tincture Failures

    I've made tinctures with vodka, burbon and rum as the base, and spices charred wood chips or fruit as per the recipe, as noted here, the longer in the tincture,the better, I add tincture, 3-5 days before botteling, it makes a big difference instead of adding it the day you bottle.

    Welcome back, another vote for Jeff at Jaspers... I also use beer/wine hobby in Peabody Ma.because its 8 minutes from my house for bulk purchases. Or in impromptu brew session because they are open 7 days a week. Both give very good customer service.

    Today, I dumped the trub and dry hopped an American IPA, yesterday I bottled 10 gallons, a dry irish stout and a blonde ale.. Washed, sanitized and put away both fermenters.. now I guess I have no choice but to brew Friday and Sunday..I'm thinking Cascadian IPA and a Irish red..that'll do.me...
