Yes, it works well for keeping fine sediment out of my bottles..I've never had it clog to the point it was a problem, if I was using a siphon, I suspect it would be more problematic.

Rough chopped 10 ounces of espresso beans, drained the yeast cake and trub and added the beans to my coffee porter, then set the temp to 40, drained the trub and yeast cake on my black IPA and added 2 ounces of citra hops, washed and sanitized 50 bottles, then bottled an Irish Red..

American IPA, its actually more golden than it looks. Bittering hops are perle, flavoring hops are mosaic, 2 ounces each of mosaic and citra as a dry hop, yeast is US 05- nice piney aroma, and light tangerine flavor, pleasant hop bitterness..so good I'll have another!

Irish moss addition is part of my process, my brewing desk has markings from start to finish in 15 minute intervals, I find if I lay out my hops, irish moss , yeast nutrient at the marked intervals( Irish moss would be between the 30 and 45 markings)this way I'm least likely to forget...
