    Reasonable cost of keggle welds.

Welds in St Louis can be done for $35 a weld, and that is with the welder supplying the nipple or coupler. A good price for an experienced SS steel welder (gets his experience welding Brewhemoths all day!)

    Brewhemoth conicals?

With the spunding valve on top, you are in the neighborhood of 36 inches. I'm not sure how tall the 90 is, I'll look into this at work today.

    What happened???

You have a bad seal on the bottle, hope it is not glass.

    Brewhemoth conicals?

    B) Is an easy one, there are many folks who have their Brewhemoth in a fridge, The legs are adjustable. A) If you put an insulating blanket on the Brewhemoth, temps 47-50 should be attainable, especially with 28 degree glycol. In a 100 degree room, getting it down in the low 30's, not sure...

    Keggles & Welding/Cutting "Slag" Cleanup

This advise is a little late for you, but might help others. If you fill your keg with water before cutting with the plasma, the slag won't stick, no clean-up needed.

    Conical Vs Keg fermenter

The Brewhemoth is leak-tested at 100 psi, so its capable of pressurized fermentations, cabonatating, etc. Its made in the USA, and there are never issues whether the main body is not stolen from some brewery.

    Downsides of a Penrose Kettle?

A small isolated population has been found. OK, I was cleaning a corner of the warehouse and found parts to build a few more. If interested, a call to Brewhemoth Headquarters can still get the next lucky few folks a Penrose Kettle!

Corona mill is a piece of junk!

Why blame the tool when you choose the wrong tool. Those are meant to grind flour, which they do reasonably well, used one for ten years when I lived in Kansas to grind local wheat for bread. Amazingly, most farmers would just give me the wheat. If you want to crush grain, buy a roller mill.

Keggles, welded couplers, and ball valves

Why not solder on a nipple and then its no issue?

Temperature range for automatic water fermentor chiller

I use a Brewhemoth with the chiller attachment. Running 28 degree glycol thru it, a temp probe on the inside (taking the temp of the wort), I have no problems maintaining the temp I want plus or minus one degree during active fermentation. In the developement of this product, extra temp probes...

What unorthodox item have you repurposed for brewing?

We took old and obsolete liquid oxygen containers and transformed them into fermenters and kettles!

    Which Conical to buy?

I like the longer holiday idea, doubt my boss does. Can't change the response from home, dang if I'm going in till the 9th!
  14. D

    Which Conical to buy?

Two things, its July 9th back from vacation, and a small chest freezer can be had for under $150 bucks, no issues of getting the fermenter in or out and leaves fermenter out where it can be seen. Why pay so much money to hide it? Even the microbreweries put at least some of theirs on display.

    Brewhemoth Pressurizer???

You could try this http://brewhemoth.com/pressurizer or http://brewhemoth.com/spunding-valve Both work very well.
  16. D

    Which Conical to buy?

Glycol chillers are nice, but a cheap version is a small chest freezer, 5 cubic feet or so. A temp controller and a submersable pump, fill it with water or glycol solution and your off. I'm using water set at 36 degrees and am capable of chilling two Brewhemoths down easily.

    Which Conical to buy?

Another plus on the Brewhemoth is its capable of handling over 100 psi! Pressurizable fermentations, easier beer transfer with CO2.

Transferring 10gal wort from kettle to conical

I empty the kettle into a sanitized bucket, 3 gallons at a time. then pour into the conical using a large funnel. But then, I brew in the back of the backyard and ferment indoors. Much easier hauling buckets than a full conical.

    Sorghum

Anyone know a source of malted sorghum?

    Traditional African Beer

I've been asked to brew some beer for "Africa Night" at my church. Any ideas as to what this would be? I'm assuming that it should be based on sorghum, a gruit style? Any ideas?
