I've brewed a quite a few Milds and discovered that I don't particularly care for Crystal in my recipe. Here is one that turned out fantastic.... https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=464920

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

With the recent recipe postings on SUABP of Mild ales from the 1800's I decided to brew a REAL Mild ale from the 1862 Barclay Perkins XX Mild recipe with the base malt I had hanging around. The exact amounts I don't have a clue, I just dumped what I had together and measured out prior to...

    Summery English Ale?

10 lbs of MO seems like a lot for something light and summery. Maybe drop it to 6-7 lbs. Shoot for 1030-1040. Hops look good and maybe drop hop with Styrian goldings. Here's one I brewed a while back and was tasty. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showpost.php?p=7556707&postcount=1236

How to get rid of moles

All we get here is pocket gophers and the county has a bounty on them. .75 cents per front pair of claws. A young kid could make a ton of money over a summer. I use a cinch trap, works wonders.

How to get rid of moles

Are you sure they're moles? Or are they pocket gophers? Pocket gophers make mounds, moles make tunnels just under the sod.

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

I'm such an idiot. I brewed up Timothy Taylor Landlord yesterday. Weighed out my grain starting with Baird's pale then a small amount of black, .9 oz to be exact. But instead of .9 oz, I weighed out 9 oz. Not thinking once that I had incorrectly read my recipe and not even thinking that 9 oz...

English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

I primarily brew English ales and set my keezer at 48 degrees and carb to 1.8-2.0. I do prefer my ales lighter in body also because I'm a session kinda guy. But then again I do also have an Angram hand pump and polypins that I serve my ales on. It's awesome but a bit spendy. UK brewing Supplies...
