Here's a nice writeup on Roy, by the way. https://whatsmashingwa.com/2014/03/21/five-decades-of-brewing-with-roy-ladhams/

    Intertap beer faucets

Received my order from Australia last night (ordered on 3/27, sent via Air Post even though I had chosen the cheapest "Sea Post" method). It'll be awhile before I can put this into service, but here're photos of the shiny new arrivals.

Nah, everything's fine, I just thought it was a particularly hilarious name for a shipping facility!

Tracking my package from Australia and I see this: "Perth Empty Bag Return Centre?"

The reply from Keg King regarding the spring in regular shanks: "The springs are made to suit the shanks we sell but they may work with other shanks." My guess is that Intertap shanks probably have a machined bevel that the spring seats against. I think it just depends on whether the spring can...

    Intertap beer faucets

The Intertap site as well as TWOC don't mention that you have to have their shank to use the spring, but in the Intertap video, I think the guy mentions that you have to use their shank... Either way, when I placed my order with TWOC, I spent the extra couple of bucks for the spring just to try...

Also just noticed http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/PRE_ORDER_Intertap_Stainless_Steel_Pert_Faucet_p/po-intertap-ss-faucet.htm Doesn't look like OBK is carrying any Intertap nozzle options at this point, though.

    Intertap beer faucets

I just placed an order for one Intertap SS, stout spout and spring. Wish I'd known about this before I bought my two Perlicks awhile back (before jmark's post re: Roy) but hey, better late than never. The exchange makes this an incredible deal.

First pull of my "Accidentally Imperial IPA." Pretty smooth for ~ 9.5 ABV.

BIAB recirc setup - How to connect and remove the false bottom?

I think the main issue here was not having center support, plus the screen offered no rigidity... With the aluminum pizza disk I'm using, you can add as many carriage bolts or "legs" as you think you need to provide rigid support in the center. I've had no problems with the 5-leg disk, and to...

    Smuttynonse finest kind clone recipe

The cap threads on the BMB aren't specific to any standard thread... I just "force threaded" the slip fitting onto it. That is, if you slowly twist the fitting on with a bit of pressure, the threads will actually "impress" into the PVC. Just be careful to support the underside of the BMB lid as...

    Smuttynonse finest kind clone recipe

@ultravista, I originally used a 1" ID blowoff tube that fits nicely on the BMB's threaded neck, but the space constraints of my little fermentation fridge called for a more flexible solution. It started out to be the 3/4" x 1/2" PVC reducer (as seen on the left of the photo below) with 1/2" ID...

    Smuttynonse finest kind clone recipe

Yeah, my recipe was basically a hybrid of a few different ones I found here and there. One of them cited input from Smuttynose, specifically the 5-minute hop additions during the latter half of the boil. :mug:

    Smuttynonse finest kind clone recipe

I should have gone with the shorter height of Reflectix (16"?)... I used 24" and didn't think about just how hot the bottom skirt of the keg gets using a propane burner. Ended up melting a wee bit of it around the bottom... And in regard to the BMB, I wish I had waited for the plastic ones. I...

Smuttynose Finest Kind IPA clone recipe BIAB. Fell a tiny bit short on my pre-boil gravity, so I added a little less than a pound of DME and ended up nailing it in the end. More photos over here.
