Georgia SOLD - 24"x24" stainless work table 24" high

If I was near you, I'd probably grab it. Do you think it would support a 13G conical with ~10G in it without being wobbly?

Show me how you guys are taking care of this crap!

Similarly, I use this with a Nukatap on a 3G keg in a mini fridge. No hoses, super clean. https://www.williamsbrewing.com/Home-Brewing-Equipment/Kegging-Equipment/Ball-Lock-Keg-Connectors/-KegLand-Stainless-Flow-Control-Ball-Lock-Threaded

    Drill for grain mill question

I get OP was asking for drill, but if you are going to any trouble of building a holder for your drill it’s just as easy to build a holder for a small motor and switch. It’s maybe the single greatest thing I’ve done in 30 years of brewing. That dumb thing EATS grain...

How Many Gallons Brewed In 2021

10G Belgian Tripel 7073.5 + 10 = 7083.5 Is there a compendium somewhere with the total gallons brewed for each year?

From buckets to conical, and bottles to kegs

Yeah, I'm improperly using the term. In it's current state it's a conical. It's lid is a flat disc that's pressed down from overhead with a crude clamp. It is a heavy gauge, one piece, non-welded cone though. Im working on sourcing a lid so it's possible it could be pressurized at some point...

From buckets to conical, and bottles to kegs

This is a bit of a ramble, talking things through with myself but welcome any thoughts. I've brewed for a long time. I remember talking with John Palmer back in rec.crafts.brewing when we were all building the 3-tier systems. Quit the hobby once, and picked it back up after reading Brew Like a...

Safe to ferment in wood shop?

Yep, it's all I do with my competing hobbies. One recommendation is to not worry about what's in your fermenters, but rather all of the vessels currently not being used. Keep them well covered, or you will just add on a bunch of unnecessary cleaning.

adding steeped grain to finished beer

Yes, though I wouldn't recommend it as a regular practice. I had a RIS that attenuated much farther than anticipated and the resulting beer was fairly thin. I steeped grains (chocolate, maybe crystal?) and added it to the fermenter and it was definitely better. But that was a really big beer...

    IT HAS ARRIVED !!!!

    Unfortunate mashtun.

Our mice waltz right in the garage, and I've got traps everywhere. But, I didn't want to chance it so bought a small steel garbage can and use that as grain storage. I'd like to see them chew through that.

Well? You may want to reconsider your whole plan then . . .

Dark Candi sugar, how much is too much ?

My thinking with Magnum is to get in the bittering with less vegetative matter. I've since sampled the above recipe from the primary, and the flameout Amarillo is coming through right now as an orange. My thought was to use the Amarillo in place of orange zest or dried peel, to have a slightly...

Experiment with lots of malts and hops

This. You can learn much from commercial examples, other home brewers, local brewpubs, cloning, etc. Do some digging to find out what ingredients were used. Many times when researching clone recipes, you'll find somebody has already done this. I'd argue to start with yeast first and keep the...

Dark Candi sugar, how much is too much ?

First off, unless you are brewing for a competition then brew whatever you want. I brew almost all Belgians and Tripel is my fav. Usually I’ll use turbinado up to 20%. For my recent Tripel, I went down the same road as you, looking for something slightly amber with some darker fruit or caramel...
