    Wort chiller fittings...which?

Go with this http://www.nybrewsupply.com/copper-wort-chiller-garden-hose-fittings-12-x-50.html Copper 1/2 best one I have found, until you want a counterflow I put a "T" in to the home waterline and tapped right to my kitchen's sink's 3/4 Inch feed line :)

Gas fired recirculating mash worth the effort

If I could start over I would have bought the Braumeister 50L for Indoors use before the Rimms (But Im in WI, if I were down South it would be different) Braumeister can do 1.065 all grain and you can get it higher with DME and LME or Dextrose But Love my Rimms, just splurged for the...

Anyone using one of the ZChiller counterflow chillers?

Would you ever see the need for 2 inline for 15 gallons of liquid wort? (WI groundwater here is quite cold 50 degrees tops mid summer)

Gas fired recirculating mash worth the effort

I have been using a Propane/Gas 10Gal RIMMS for about a year now with a good 10 batches down. I love it I went with the route of the Blichman Controller (Gas) and built my own Recirc with a Rotometer (flow) (tower of power copy) I just upgraded my 1.2 Megapot 10G MLT w Norcal False Bottom...

What system to buy for 2-3K? Tired of tinkering.

For an indoor system this is what I plan to buy (a 20L) and I will keep my 20Gallon Gas RIMMS Garage system for larger beers Club really loves the 20L Braumeister one of our members has 2, its just limited by mash capacity as the issue with the 20L is the max LBs of grain you can have in it...

Mash Tun for a RIMMS, how big is TOO Big?

Conclusion HLT / MLT / BOIL 15 / 15 / 20 : This would be the best 3 pot configuration choice to begin with This is also a Blichmann Engineering Recommended setup for RIMMS (Spike's Temp Gage is just much lower than the Boilermakers, and Spike's prices are better) After the 15G MLT...

Mash Tun for a RIMMS, how big is TOO Big?

For Minimums 8.5 LBS of Grain = 4.40-4.90 Gallons Volume (1.040) Means that with Spike's Site Glass Kettle with the temp gauge at 4" gives: Tun Size 10G /15G /20G Top Gage at marker 2.5 Gal / 3.75 Gal / 4.5 Gal So any Batch at 1.040 would get past 15G but just hit 20G's Temp Gage Port

Mash Tun for a RIMMS, how big is TOO Big?

Thank you to those above that are constructive in their comments Just wanted some feedback before I end up with a 20 Gallon Mash Tun I can't use for a 6 gallon 1.040 batch The Spread Sheet I listed was the best resource. I created a matrix for 10/15/20 At 1.75 / 80% effic Tun...

Mash Tun for a RIMMS, how big is TOO Big?

Did see in the other thread: "If you know your expected efficiency, you can try this. To calculate for mash tun size requirement in quarts (80% efficiency of course), it's (Desired OG x Batch Size)/17 = mash tun size Let's say you want 1.088 x 15 gallons, it's (88 x 15)/17= 77 quart tun...

What system to buy for 2-3K? Tired of tinkering.

We have 2 in our club, They are good to ~1.060 but higher OG than that is difficult, unless you boil or add LME DME Good system!
