    So on the topic of "double boil" (two 2.5 gal batches) I'm trying to understand this, So basically I would have two worts boiling at the same time, and add hops and the extract to each. What about the quantities? Do I split those in half? Lets say that the recipe for a 5 gallon batch...

    Yep, I use one of those large round plastic tubs that we usually put a keg in for parties. I fill it up with a couple bags of ice and some water. It took me 20-30 minutes to chill the wort and by then all the ice was gone in the tub.
