just ordered the stuff to brew this one again the same as I did before except using white wheat instead of the torrified wheat. This beer is great to drink anytime. I will post my results of how this is different with the white vs torrified.

There was a advertisment for fresh dumped 5 gallon bourbon barrels at the end of 2011 on here. What vendor was that? I am in the market to pick one up of an upcoming beer I want to do. Any help would be great.

Williams Brewing where I found the simcoe and amarillo was out of Chinook at the time. I think northern Brewer will have it when I get my grains.

have my amarillo and simcoe in the mail for this. Just need to source the chinook and this will be my next brew. Looking forward to it.

Bottled this last week and it has a great taste to it at bottling. Either need to add a slice of orange to it or next time add more sweet or bitter orange peel to it. Need to wait till it fully carbs before I make a decision. I will report back in like a week or maybe two.

brew this one as is and then make some tweeks to it if you think it needs it. I know that i will brew it again but maybe mash a little higher to bring out some more sweetness.

I did .5 oz and one oz of bitter orange. I was going to do a full oz of corriander but that seemed to much.

i will also add that the nice little cone looks great but my eff reall sucked on this brew and my last. I am going to buy a mill of my own to try and correct this. both were ren through the same LHBS mill. Previous was 10% higher.

yes whole hops mess it up unless you have a screen or a hopblocker. I did yoopers pale ale with some home grown hops that were growing with my grapes and one cone plugged the valve. I might of been able to rack it with out problem, but my auto syphon took a dump on my and will not prime. I...

just looked back and looks like last brew was a Surley bender clone and it was also in the 60% brew house eff range. my pale ale before these two was 70%.

I did let it sit I guess i left that out. I sitrred like a mad man then put the lid on and waited till it stopped spinning in the BK then drained it to the carboy.

stirred with a spoon for two to three minutes then drained through the ball valve.

Just brewed a honey wheat with orange Peel and some coriander. Did a whirlpool and I have to say I am now a believer of it.
