    YAH HEY- That makes sense. Does anybody in Canada actually brew anything with Canadian Red Vine ? The thing grows like a wild animal but the hops it produces are pretty harsh.

    This is our trials area where varieties are tested for vigor and suitability for growing in Michigan. Each variety is rated on 10 different factors. These plants were started from cuttings in mid Feb.

    A typical Week 4 hop plant from top cuttings. Plants are produced every 2 weeks on a continuous schedule. Propagation from clean stock makes a huge difference!

    Plant 'em dude! You'll gain a whole season of estabilshing roots. If your worried about freeze out, mulch em with some leaves this fall. I've planted cuttings in late september with no problems (Michigan) Check out my gallery pics.

    BC? I've got Kent and GoldingU.S. - I don't do rhizomes; only plants and crowns. Never heard of BC goldings plants- only picked hops from British Columbia.

    calicross hops

    Calicross is a variety yhat is no longer used commercially because there are newer types with far better traits and yields. I trialed it a couple years ago- it was mediocre in every category- yield, disease resis., aroma, storage. So many better choices!
