That's a great find! It looks like you lucked out and your freezer compartment isn't as tall as mine. A normal ball lock keg is too tall to fit under mine, so I've picked up low profile ball locks (pin lock kegs with ball lock conversion posts). I've thought about moving my CO2 tank outside...

As Tylerjones62 did, I used "High-Density Rubber Foam Weather Stripping Tape" from Home Depot. It provides an excellent seal. I'm not sure how it will hold up, but I wouldn't mind if I did have to replace it in a few years.

The weather stripping was just 5/8" black rubber foam weatherstripping from Home Depot. That would work as long as you bypass the door switch. I used a 120mm pc fan mounted in the back of the freezer compartment. It's not overly high CFM, but it does a great job of keeping the temperature...

It's along the same lines as damprid, but I much prefer it. It's basically just full of silica balls. Once it's absorbed all the water it can, you plug it in and the built-in heater will renew it overnight. It's working really well for me! It's called the Eva-dry E-500.

Agreed! I've been monitoring my newly rebuilt kegerator and get great efficiency on it! It's received all new R-19 pink insulation and rubber foam weatherstripping gasket for the door. Quoting one of my posts from my vintage kegerator thread...

To get the hinges off of the fridge, I popped off the screw cover plate, then just removed the screws. If you're wondering how to get the actual hinges apart into separate pieces - I'm not sure beyond just conjecture. Mine were in good enough shape that they didn't require complete dis-assembly...
