    Stove Top or Propane?

I'm not to worried about propane it can't be to bad, atleast I dont see myself having to refill it enough for it to be a problem. I really want the fryer because then I can alsouse It for crablegs and crawfish lol I really just liked the idea of brewing inside. I guess worse come to worse if I...

    Stove Top or Propane?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I might end up just taking it back tomorrow and picking up the turkey fryer, I have to go back and get a pyrex measuring cup anyways, and some football food. Hopefully I will get enough advice to make a good decision by that time lol

    Stove Top or Propane?

I figured I would start out on my stove to keep everything nice in neat, I live in the country with no garage so outside is all dirt. I thought I could just brew inside until I saved up to pour a little slab, I need one anyways for the BBQ pit and what not but when I brought home my new 21 QT...

Hate to ask about equipment but...

I've already bought my kit from midwest, thanks though. As for the last couple posts I'll have to check out my lhbs and see what they have and start shopping around for a propane burner, hopefully I can catch a sale.

Hate to ask about equipment but...

Lol I have a friend who knows 2 different people with beer bottle piles. One has the brown bottles which is what I was going for but he's not sure he wants to get rid of them then the other said I can take as many green bottles as I want, I suppose it doesn't matter. Now that I say that I...

    Antique beer

You should call American Pickers....no no, take it to Antique Road Show. Would a Coors bottle really be worth anything more than the amusement of seeing a friend drink it? On an episode of American Restoration one of the guys drank a really old Pepsi....kinda funny to watch I remember when my...

Hate to ask about equipment but...

scoundrel thanks for the advice, with all these groupon posts I figured what the hell and placed an order for one. I plan on using the certificate on a wort chiller, possibly making my own depending if it's worth if for the money it might save. I think I'm going to hit up Wal-Mart and get a pot...

To pour or to syphon?!? Input NEEDED!

This might be a dumb question but since your going to siphon it it later wouldnt it be easier just to pour it?

Hate to ask about equipment but...

Even better then lol. I don't plan on rushing but if I know all I really need to buy is ingredients I'm even happier. I just thought about this though, I'm not sure if I can brew in my house. I live in a trailer and my stove is electric, it seems like a pot that full would mess up the burner...

Hate to ask about equipment but...

Thanks everybody. I didn't plan on getting a second fermenting bucket but some kits come with it and some don't, that's why I asked. I haven't really found a balanced kit that I want minus one. http://www.williamsbrewing.com/COMPLETE-BREWERY-WITH-HONEY-CREAM-ALE-P2338C257.aspx It is $219 so I...

    New from Houston

I haven't really noticed but do we have a lot of festivals and things similar to that? Last one I knew of was beer fest but I heard out it turned out pretty bad. I just found out about Defalcos I'll probably be there often not to long from now.

    New from Houston

Hopefully I'll have my first setup ordered Wednesday and get my first batch going asap. I tried posting a thread in the beginner section but it didn't post, not sure why. It would be cool once I get the process down pretty good to meet up with fellow brewers.

Hate to ask about equipment but...

After countless hours of reading I'm still unsure on the best route to go. I've seen several starter kits but I'm still at a loss for which is best in value. I decided the easiest way would be to go step for step by John Palmer's equipment guide. Airlock Boiling Pot(canning pot) Bottles(48...

    New from Houston

I've been wanting to brew for quite some time and with tax return money on it's way what better time to start than now? I'm addicted to anything considered DYI so I see this hobby getting expensive as time progresses but I don't think anything could compare in satisfaction. Anyways hopefully...
