I suppose I should consider myself lucky since I don't have to pay for my CO2. I am a welder and our supplier decided that to do the paperwork on a 5# fill wasn't worth it so he accepts a growler or 2 of my HB in exchange for a CO2 swap.

I made my first NEIPA and just dry hopped it yesterday. I watched a few videos on dry hopping using the Catalyst Conical and feel confident things went smoothly. I will try to remember to post pics when she is finished and kegged.

Hey NoDak'ers!!! I am just a home brewer that has been brewing for almost 2 years now. I am not a member of any club or group, just a guy that enjoys brewing beer that I like to drink. My favorite beer to brew is an Amber and currently use an extract kit but I am slowly making my way to AGB...

Today I am drinking my Pilsner which I named 'Papa Philsner' while I am waiting my my amber (which I call 'Color of your Energy') to be properly carbonated.

I am quite interested to find out how this goes.

Here is a follow-up...... Temp is at 70 degrees and after about 72+ hours fermentation is taking place, and rather aggressively I might add. Thanks for all the advice and reassurance, I really appreciate it.

I am using the yeast supplied with the kit, American East Coast Ale Yeast.

I brewed my first Oktoberfest from Brewers Best. Today I keg'd it to condition until somewhere around late September. It came in at around 5.6% and looks real good. As per usual I sampled it just before kegging and I am very pleased with the turnout. I know an extract kit is somewhat dummy proof...
