    Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

I’m having second thoughts this year. Maybe my taste buds are changing. I’m not really crazy about Celebration this year now that I’ve had a few. What is the consensus?

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

Brewed an 11 gal batch yesterday. Finally after 5 brews I hit my OG! My brewhouse efficiency is still really low at 65%. Not sure what is making it so low. Just started reading this forum from the beginning hoping to get some ideas.

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

I’m in the process of getting electric and plumbing installed so I can move my 25 gal Down Under into the basement. I’ll need an exhaust fan, still researching what will work.

Mine doesn't seem to have much aroma this year. Still a great beer. Now back to trying to clone it!

    Goose Island IPA

Looks like Pilgrim hops could be hard to find. Any good suggestions for a replacement hop?

    Goose Island IPA

If you have Mitch Steele’s book on IPAs he has a recipe for Goose Island in it. He lists the percentage of each hop.

    Goose Island IPA

Interesting, never thought of dry hopping that way. I'm usually not impressed with my dry hopping results. I'll have to give this method a try. Any reason you didn't stick with the hops Goose Island lists on their website? Cascade, Centennial, Pilgrim, Styrian Celeia

    Goose Island IPA

I've seen a bunch of clones but according to Goose Island the beer is brewed with 100% Pale Malt. Most of the clones have other grains in the recipe.

    Goose Island IPA

I love Goose Island IPA. I would really like to try and brew it. Then I wouldn't be supporting InBev. Has anyone recently brewed a clone of this beer?

Has fining taken the place of filtering?

I have great results simply racking into my keg with no cold crashing, put the keg in the keezer leaving it at serving pressure for 24 hrs. Then add gelatin to the keg and up the pressure to 30 psi for 24 hrs then reduce the pressure back to serving pressure. Wait another two or three days and...

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

My system has finally been delivered! Still waiting on the tri-clamps so I couldn't connect anything up yet. They forgot to include the temperature probe, but everything else looks good.
