    Great beers you DON'T like?

Grolsch and DFH120, for entirely different reasons. I also think Pliney the Elder is unbalanced and extremely overrated.

Pliny the Elder - Currently in stock at...

Many thanks to the OP. I've got 6 Pliny, 2 Salvation, and 2 Avery Collaboration, not Litigation coming. With shipping, just over $86. I too balked momentarily on the shipping price, but then asked myself if I'd pay $10 for any of those beers in a bar or retail store. Where I live (Miami)...

    NorthernBrewer Bourbon Barrel Porter

Racked to secondary yesterday onto 16 oz of Maker's with double (4oz) of toasted chips that have been marinating together for 3 weeks. The porter itself was great, but just a slight bit thinner than what I'd expected. I'm hoping the bourbon doesn't overwhelm, but I've no doubt that whatever it...

Transporting fermenting beer (in secondary) by car

Thanks to all. I brewed and pitched at the place I'm leaving in a month or so, and its gurgling happily now. When I know exactly what day I am moving, I think I'm going to rack to secondary about 2.5 weeks in advance, then bottle before I move. I"ll still probably have 10 days to 2 weeks on...

Transporting fermenting beer (in secondary) by car

This weekend (August 7), I plan to start my X-mas brew, a bourbon barrel porter. The thing is, I am moving in mid September. Only about an hour away. By that time, it is possible that the beer will still be fermenting and not yet bottle conditioning. It would be in a secondary. I've read...

    Ideas for fall beers?

NB Bourbon porter for X-Mas. Nut brown ale for the fall. I'm brewing just my 2nd and 3rd batches ever next week, and batch 1 isn't even finished yet bottle conditioning! I've gone all in!
