So where are all of these cheap spa panels in Canada?

They are up to $65 for a 50 amp here in MN now...I bought one last year for $50 at Home Depot. Must be onto us...

Best/Safest Method of installing an Element

I used a NEMA 4x SS box on mine. Sandwiched between a silver soldered SS nut and the water heater element gasket. Works great and safe...grounded the box, kettle and my stand.

    Weldless heating element

Why does everyone here think its ok to use JB Weld for 240 volt connections? It's one thing on a external box on a keg, but others are using it submersed in the wort??!! Even outside the wort, I would never trust some epoxy mix with holding back instant death.

    Weldless heating element

And I used a soldered locknut. IRC, the order is element, box, silicone gasket, soldered locknut, keg. The box is really attached well and used no JB Weld. I also have a separate ground to the kettle and metal stand (tested with an ohm meter).

    Weldless heating element

I used a SS electrical box with gasketing (might be NEMA4 rated, I can check). Not a big fan of the big box/ outlet route, so I have a pigtail with water resistant strain relief. Check out the pics:

I have #8 Cu running out to my detached garage with a 50 amp breaker...inspected and passed by the state of MN. And, I just ran 2 50 amp circuits using #6 Al wire (XHHW-2, rated for 90 degrees C) that is rated for 55 amps at 60 degrees C. yjfun, the numbers you listed are wrong...a lot of...

HopRocket, chiller plate, sanitary clamp up grade

That is an awesome rig! How often do you brew? I don't think I could justify that stainless (expense) for the frequency I brew (2-3x/mo). Looks great though. That could live in my family room/ bar without question from SWMBO!

    Show us Your Broken-in/Used Brewstand

Yes that is a grant, however I typically just shove the tube from the MLT onto the 3/4" copper fitting at the bottom and pump away.

    Sanke Fermentation Vessel

Been fermenting in sankes for the last 10 years. Fill with water for a few days, tip upside down, rinse with hot water till clear, add one gallon and boil for 10-15 minutes with foil on the top. done.

Installing ball lock gas post onto a sanke keg?

I would never drill into my sanke fermentors, though. I use this contraption: 2" tri-clover to a SS racking cane. I can sanitize the beer and gas fittings and transfer 13 gallons with CO2 in about 10 minutes.
