    You cruel bastard! seems like we need to go to extremes to get thru to these kids... I actually started shoveling the snow on top of my daughters car... till she got the clue and now helps clear the driveway, not just her car.

    Classic problem, that hissing sound means its building pressure... sorry ya had to take a load ot figure that one out! You made a valiant effort to set up a blow off tube... but had problems getting the fit right... As you would suspect, this has had numerous discussions on homewbrewtalk...

    Does Anyone Else Dislike Hops?

    As a self proclaimed hop head, I must say sir, your post topic disturbs me... anyone in need of hop or hoppy beer disposal, give me a call.

    so, i am moving in two weeks and have a beer that wont be ready to bottle

    I'd move it in the fermenter... Cause the risk of bottling a big beer prematurely, then agitating the bottles moving, spells trouble to me... Bottle bombs anyone.

    Whiskey Barrel Aged Beers

    Soaking the oak on whisky for one week, allows the oak to absorb the liquor and sanitize it to... I dumb the oak and the remaining whiskey into my secondary and rack on top, then secondary for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to bottling. You'd be surprised how much oak flavor 2 oz will add.

    Whiskey Barrel Aged Beers

    I put two ounces of whisky soaked oak spirals in my vanilla porter... First taste... Awesome. Part of the homebrewing process is having fun exploring new techniques.
