    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewing as Saison right now. It's tough to beat a great tasting Saison especially when they're almost too easy to make.

What I did for beer today

Very interested in this. I bottled my first saison during the week and was very happy with a little early sampling. I'll be ordering more ingredients today for another batch that I plan to age in an oak barrel. What was your process for the juniper berries, lavender and chamomile? When did you...

    New Hop Combos

Glad to hear this combo worked out nicely. I used the same combo in a milkshake IPA I brewed just now. Also, threw in some Calypso hops. I've had plenty of beers with Mosaic but haven't really come across cashmere. Took a gamble on it.

What I did for beer today

Rainy day here in NJ. Brewed a milkshake IPA. Waiting for the wort to cool down before pitching the yeast. I've been experimenting with hops lately. Hopefully it tastes as good, if not better, than it already smells. The cool down time gives me a chance to plan out and order supplies for my...

    What brewery are you visiting?

Last weekend I went on a very informative hour+ long tour of Dogfish Brewery before they opened. My gf set the whole thing up as part of my Xmas gift. We've been there before but never had this in depth of a tour so it was well worth the 3 hour drive. We went the night before and made sure to...

Pappy`s Pub Cider - Award Winner!

I scaled this down to make a one gallon batch with minimal tweaks. Fermented for a full month and bottled this morning. ABV is slightly above 14%. I'll let the batch sit for a few weeks before refrigerating. A prior batch I made became better with age, as many of you have mentioned. It's easier...

    Hello from New Jersey

Hello from Monmouth County. Liking and jealous of your setup since I'm currently limited to brewing in my kitchen.

    (Another) Hello from NJ!

Newbie to the homebrewing world with more time spent lurking on this forum than I'd like to admit. Figured it's time to start posting since there's so many knowledgeable people here. I've also ripped through John Palmer's book along with a few others to gain insight before I attempted my first...

    Truffle Brewing

There's a local brewery near me that seasonally releases a Belgian Tripel with truffle. Brewery: Carton Brewing Beer: Gilded Lily Price: $24 (12 oz four pack) Unfortunately, I never caught the beer on tap at the brewery. About a year ago, I bought a four pack to try out. It turned out to be one...
