    Just brewed this up today (partial mash). Had an OG of 1.06 which I thought was a little low? Used one vial of the WLP500 with a starter but the starter only had ~ 2hrs so it wasnt a real starter. Think Ill have any problems? Should I pick up another vial?

    Just opened a bottle (7 days carbing, yes I know I didnt wait long enough). Lots of coffee on the finish with bitter chocolate upfront. For some reason I was expecting a little more sweetness. A little vanilla would certainly help. Overall, I like it.

    After 4 months in the secondary, I bottled yesterday and ended up at 1.021 (down from 1.024 when moving from primary to secondary in December). Tasted pretty good but wasn't as thick as I would've thought. Ill wait for it to carb then take a taste!

    Hey y'all - I brewed this up on 4/4/09 and had an OG of 1.050. I took a gravity reading today (4/18/09) and got 1.016. Should I wait to keg? I have the carboy sitting in a tub of water so I can control the temperature...should I warm it up a bit? Thanks for your help.

    Moving: timescale advice

    I would think if you anchor the bottles so they dont break, keep them out of sun light, and control temperatures you should be fine. How long is the trip going to take?
