    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

I'm willing to help with the experimentation, I've got no idea who to ask as a control though?

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

If you had a drink "when" you added it, maybe drinking the same amount again would put you in same frame of mind? You know, when you walk into a room and can't remember why, walk out and in again is supposed to help? Maybe it's the same for alcohol? Does that work do you think????

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@LBussy The reset issue isn't an issue, just for information. The time reported in Telnet agrees with the webpage, all bar a few seconds. To test I've just downgraded to 2.1.1 and the time is reported correctly both in webpage and Telnet, but when I upgrade to 2.2.2 the offfset is back. This...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@LBussy Just noticed a strange occurance... My first Brewbubble is attached to a fermenter that's been running for a week and a bit. I upgraded OTA to V2.2.2 without any issues. I just checked and I noticed the time is 8 hours ahead, local time now is 23:00 and time on Brewbubbles is...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

I've successfully upgraded 2 devices, took a while to complete but without problems and no loss of configuration. More good work!

    Wine needs something...

The rough reciepe I follow for 1 gallon, is 2-3 litres of fruit juice (pure fruit juice from the chilled cabinet), 800 - 1000g sugar, yeast nutrient, pectolase. Variations to that are 1 cup of strong tea and citric acid. NEVER top up to one gallon immediately, leave room for the fermentation...

    Wine needs something...

Was the fruit juice "made from concentrate" or freshly pressed\pure juice? If it was from cencentrate then you usually have to double up the juice quantities to get same effect as pure juice.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

@100amps SO you've got the right baud rate for the iSpindel, if you're not seeing meaningfull messages on the serial port then program is not running. As @LBussy says it could be hardware but it could just be a bad flash, try it again, but do an erase first. When you look at the serial port...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@James_42 Does it still detect something solid? If it doesn't then the probblem is with the sensor, if it does then it's an alignment issue. Alignment can be troublesome. All of my fermentation locks are of the same design, but I've found that some are better/easier to align and remain...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@James_42 I'd say it's an alignment issue. The sensor has moved relative to the fermentation lock. How are you fixing the sensor/PCB relative to the fermentation lock? I use a wide elastic webbing and it's quite tight. When fffirst connected it often takes a bit of adjustment to get the...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@James_42 I found a similar behaviour when I first used it in anger. I put it down to a missalignment, as after settling the PCB into a different position within the bracket I got much more consistent readings. Whilst I haven't fixed the PCB in place I use some elasticated webbing to hold...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

I've sourced several D1 mini clones from China for various projects over the last few years and with mixed results. I agree with @gromitdj , all my recent D1 mini have come from the Lolin store, V3.0.0s and V3.1.0s and since then I've not had a duff one. For other modules I haven't yet found...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

For me BrewBubbles is an "indicator" as how the fermentation is progressing rather than a "meter" for how the fermentation is progressing. For example, I have a WineXperts 23l Chilean Malbec fermenting away in a plastic fermentation bucket and plastic lid. You can see the lid move as the...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@James_42 if you look back over some early parts of this thread, a few of us did some testing with food colourings but were unsuccessful in producing consistent results. Personally, I also found that some colouring stained my fermentation lock! What we did find was that restricting the view...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@LBussy I just reread my post, let me try again... After flashing, connecting to the AP, setting WiFi details and hitting SAVE, I need to do a reset/power cycle to be able to connect via web browser. If that's all I need to do then it's a small, no tiny, no minute price to pay! Chris

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@LBussy For the sake of it, I just flashed, onto the same device, iSpindel and then flased BrewBubbles, erasing flash as well. Only observation I can make is that it took a push of the reset button before I could connect with a web browser. I was monitoring the serial port on the first boot...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

@LBussy Just flashed again, erasing first and all works as normal. Serial port, telnet all working as well. Chris

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

Is there a particular configuration you'd like evaluated? I've just upgraded from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1 successfully but can test other configurations if it helps? Chris

@nujjer Can you connect to the iSPindel in AP mode? That is, can you see and connect to a network called iSpindel, connect to that network and then open a web broswer?

@nujjer What do you see on the serial port when you reset?
