Not sure how I'm going to "package" my iSpindHub but for testing it's all hooked up with Dupont connectors. My fermentrack installation is all with Dupont connectors, but that rarely moves. I'd say if you're going to be moving your iSpindHub around a lot then solder the wires.

@onetea I'd look at the OpenSourceDistilling or maybe the CherryPhillip PCBs. They use D1mini's rather than the ESP12F, that makes the PCB simpler and much easier to assemble. As @DuncB said the signal on the ESP12F PCB is likely to lower due to the positioning of the WiFi antena. Plus you...

The only issue I've had that might be related was an intermeittent connection on one of my temperature probes. I remade all the joints and not had an issue since. My symptoms were similar but was at home when it happened and when I wiggled my connectors, temperature readings returned.

The most common cause of the D1mini not coming out of sleep is that it's a clone. Does the PCB have curved corners or more chamfered? Does it say Wemos or LoLin on the silk screen, or maybe have D1m1n1 on the silk screen? Have a look here, iSpindel does not wake after first submission · Issue...
