    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

I've been looking at logging sensor data through COSM. I am guessing this would be easiest through the Raspberry Pi vs the Teensy. Can I read the sensors directly from a script on the RasPi? I assume I can since the values are transmitted over the web interface, but not sure where to look.

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

I picked up this relay board to control 3 solenoids and 3 heat pads, SainSmart 8-Channel 5V Relay Module for Arduino DSP AVR PIC ARM. From what I have read, to activate the relay, you set the relay input to LOW. Would this work with the DS2406+ or should I wire this to different outputs on...

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

Sounds good. The rest of my stuff is arriving this week. I will report my findings as well.

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

Got the actions to work as well... Set the "Too Cold" to light the Red LED under 66 and the Green LED over 69. Sensor also reading accurately, 63. Have you thought about using the Arduino PID library for the action as opposed to the min/max limits? Therefor it will tune closer to the...

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

I'm not sure what ended up being the problem, but after I reloaded all the software (on the RaspPi and Teensy) it works perfectly again. I may have messed something up loading some other programs, but all good now. Thanks for your help. Next up I am going to test my switches and actions.

Got everything reloaded, and connected a sensor directly to the terminals again... worked as expected

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

connected each one individually to the terminals on the protoboard, 1 read 255, the others read 70, but when I applied cool/heat nothing changed. going to reload all the software and check the connections again.

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

Yeah, each time I change the arrangement, I scan for new chips. I see those values on both pages.

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

No luck, really odd readings, may try reloading everything.

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

I have rewired a couple times. I ended up adding a few more chips and it recognized them, and read the temps, but still was 255 on 2 of them. What was odd, one of the new ones went to 255 and one of the originals gave the actual reading. Going to play around a bit. Got the Wifi adapter...

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

Got everything up and running last night, had 2 temp sensors on a breadboard and the readings were working. Decided to try to get my wireless adapter to work with no luck. Then when I plugged in my sensors they stayed at 70° and wouldn't change if I raised the temp around them. Now this...

    TeensyPi Networked Temperature Controller

I am following along and have a couple questions on the Pi Plate Adapter. 4k7 Resistor - Is the resistor soldered through the board and making a connection underneath near the unassigned screw terminals on where the 3v3 and Data wires were soldered? Are you powering the Teensy with a...

    Fs: Chillus convolutus counterflow chiller

SOLD So I bought a brand new CHILLUS CONVOLUTUS COUNTERFLOW CHILLER, but decided not to use it in my setup. Morebeer sells it for $189, but it is on backorder. I have never used it and it still has the tags from the shop I bought it from. I am looking to sell it for $185 and will ship...

Anyone want to rent or sell an 1-1/4in and 13/16 round punch tool?

I'd be interested in renting the knockout punches for Kal's setup too. Or if anyone would want to do a "group buy" and lend it out throughout the group. Seems like this would be the only time I would use the tools, and a lot of us are building similar setups.
