    Show Us Your Label

I think the technical term is "typeface-tastic". =) Thanks for sharing both the label and the typeface, while I'm personally not one for long descriptions of the beer on the label (I don't want the "explanation" to affect my own judgment, I guess) it does look very clean and sharp, great job. =)

The "We'll fix your label for you" thread

Have to say that both look great, but I loved the subtlety of the first one, it requires a bit of knowledge about the minotaur lore. =)

    Octoberfest label

Maybe something in the vein of Bavarian folk dancing? Reeks of Oktoberfest and could play into the whole "Bro" theme? http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/49/c1/07/schuplatteln-traditional.jpg

Well, the Belgians have always been kinda weird... =) Failing that, rural cafes? =)

    Show Us Your Label

This is how the logo showcased earlier ended up: The beer itself is still a bit fresh (only been carbonating for 9 days, I made a few "extra" bottles specifically to check carbonation progress). I can however tell already that I need more late addition hops (or even dry hopping) in the next...

    Show Us Your Label

Good to hear it worked out. =) So, I realized that my hops are losing aromas as we speak, and decided "Guess I need to make another batch before they're ruined" (I've heard worse excuses). This time I wanted to make an even more hoppy beer, and utilize my existing stocks as fully as possible...

    Dark lager alternatives?

Thanks for the responses. =) All of the ones I've ever tried (which is I think about 10-15 different ones, because never say never) have had a very unflattering mouth feel (very flat and watery for some reason) and have generally tended towards more "burnt" than smoky, including some fairly high...

    Dark lager alternatives?

Hiya. Me and my father really like dark lager style beers (including bocks etc.) and our particular favorites tend to be Czech dark lagers and German rauchbiers. Problem is that as of right now I'm not able to do lager style beers (though I am looking into a refrigeration solution, possibly...

    Hello from the cold north!

Thanks for the warm welcome, much appreciated. I'm new to this whole thing, but I'm also very nerdy about everything I start so I'm trying to cram as much knowledge into my head as possible (which may not always be a good thing), I'm looking forward to years of interesting experimentation. =)...

    Hello from the cold north!

Thank you. =) Oh, and I should probably make it blatant where this particular cold north is: Finland!

    Hello from the cold north!

Hlo there! Been interested in homebrewing for years already, it's been in the back of my mind forever, but finally this year I met someone who actually does it, and he finally pushed me over the edge (Kharnynb on these very forums). First we talked, then I read a lot, then I helped him make a...

    Show Us Your Label

Gotta love your labels Kharnynb. Did that batch I "helped with" work out? My first ever brew, CitraSMaSH, is almost through primary fermentation, need to come up with a label for it in the next month or so... =) EDIT: Will probably end up being very close to this draft, if not indeed this one...
