    What are you drinking now?

    A bottle of HB imperial pumpkin-spice stout (1.120 -> 1.040) that I brewed a loooong time ago. It was weird for well over a year (tap water had lost a lot of it's usual CaCO3 load due to monstrous rains). Tonight? It's pretty amazing!

    Only real answer is to ask the person who came up with the recipe. Tho I think for most recipes one sees here, people are stating their amount of beer for packaging/consuming. But that said, I call mine "3 gallon batches", and that's dumping everything from the boil kettle into the fermenter...

    Hay Bale Hazy IPA at North 20 Brewing, in Rosemount. Delicious beer, and in a beautiful spot looking out onto a huge open field with dense woodlands behind it.

    Yeah, I read all the man pages for sort AND join. But join insists my file isn't sorted, when it bloody well is. But now I've figured out how to get sqlite3 to import my tab-delimited text files, and I'm a bazillion times more capable in SQL than I am in bash, so I'm happy now! :bigmug:

    90% briess brewer's malt 9% briess munich 10L 1% flaked wheat Cascade @60 and @10 Citra @10 and in dry hop s-04 Foam for days! Lighting here is crappy, but the beer is quite clear.

    No, just a full volume BIAB mash at 152F for 60 minutes, only dropped one degree in that time. Pulled the grain bag, squeezed the hell out of it, and went straight to boiling.

    After 2 subsequent brews, my vote is that 1% flaked wheat gives MUCH better foam (and long lasting foam) than any amount of carapils or any other alleged foam-enhancing grain.

    Homebrewed sessionish IPA (90% 2-row, 9% munich 10L, 1% flaked wheat, OG: 1055, FG: 1014, ibu 46 from Cascade and late Citra, S-04). Probably a stretch to call this an IPA, but regardless, I'm really digging this beer. Gonna re-brew soon, with better processes to minimize oxidation. Flaked...

    What I did for beer today

    Extracted the magnets from an old hard drive (it was WAY harder than the youtube video I watched suggested it would be), in preparation for an upcoming hoppy beer, so I can dry-hop without opening the bucket fermenter...
