Strong Bitter Maynard’s Extra Special Bitter

I was thinking of our honeymoon in the UK when I designed this recipe. Like manu others, I grew really fond of bitters durning our trip, and wanted to vreate a nice sessionable brew that would invoke memories of our travels. Will be brewing this again in a few weeks, but definitely going for a...

1st time corn sugar carbing in a keg?

Thanks for these, I hadn't run it through beer smith yet, never even thought to look there and I use the software to double check most of my recipes (use iBrewMaster for the actual recipe designs). As far as cutting the bottling amount in half, it is pretty close for sure as that is where I have...

Mix the solution into the keg, put under 2-3 PSI to set the seals and let sit unrefrigerated for a few weeks until ready to serve...

    Feedback requested on Chinook CDA

This is first stab at brewing a Black IPA/CDA. I'm hoping the addition of Chocolate rye as opposed to straight chocolate malt will play off the spicy notes created by the chinook. Stealth Hops (Chinook Down) Single Hop CD Style: Black IPA/Cascadian Dark Ale OG: 1.069 Type: All Grain...

Did I ruin my stick-on thermometer?

Pretty sure the thermometer is ruined. Good news though, they sell them at pet stores in the fish area if your local homebrew shop is too far away. They are like 2-3 bucks a piece so pick up a handful.
